Rocking and Rolling

Well, it’s an auspicious day in Still The Water history. April 30th was to be our final date to raise investment for our movie via the provincial CEDB program, but we were successful in securing an amendment, so we are rocking and rolling now until July 31t!

A HUGE thank you to all of our current investors for going to bat for us by getting their revised agreements in the door in crazy fast fashion! Wow, what a wonderful group of committed people. I feel so blessed to be so wonderfully supported in this amazing venture.

So although we had to push the film due to a slow start out of the ‘investment gate,’ we are still well on our way to making our very special film.

Today is also a notable day on P.E.I.  Our island fishers are out on the water today, setting their traps. There will be some jubilant folks lining up for fresh lobster right off the boat for supper! We originally planned to shoot today, but it’s funny how things work out. We need a breathtaking sunrise for our Setting Day shoot, and today was gray and rainy. The universe has our back. You wait and see – when we are ready, we will be shooting a glorious sunrise. Guaranteed. I can feel it in my bones.

I wish all of our island fishers a safe and joyous first day on the water.

And I thank everyone who is out there rooting for us. From the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful to you for your faith and belief in us, and for helping us get to April 30th with an amended Offering that we can ride til the end of July. We are successfully over a big hump and now, as they say, the rest is gravy.

Onwards and upwards!

Susan 🙂
