Susan Rodgers

Susan Rodgers creates captivating stories loved by readers around the world. A favourite is her fifteen-book Drifters series, about a troubled gal who runs away from P.E.I. and finds success as an actor and singer. Still The Water is the first scripted feature film for the Vancouver Film School honours graduate, who initially learned the ropes as a stand-in and crew member on the television series Emily Of New Moon before moving to behind the camera lens. She’s written, shot, and edited numerous scripted and unscripted projects from the ground up. Some of her past projects include: Then Sings My Soul, The Healing Place, Bobby’s Peace, The New Neighbours, and A Time To Drum.

Rick Gibbs

Having worked in the film and television industry since 1968, Rick Gibbs brings quite a bit of experience to this project. He is vastly experienced in directing and producing, as well as camera, and uses his years of experience to think quickly and solve effectively. In addition, his involvement in both public and private sectors works as an asset to understanding the needs of businesses and client services.

Nicolle Morrison

Nicolle Morrison is a well-known business woman and realtor in Summerside who manages a number of properties across Prince County. In addition to being active in her community – she was a co-founder of the Summerside chapter of 100 Women Who Care – she brings her business expertise and many connections to the Mighty Ocean Film Inc. team.

Christopher Ball

Cinematographer

Christopher Ball began his film career at the age of nine when he discovered a home movie camera in his parents’ attic. Several thousand feet of film and fourteen years later, he graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree. Since then, his work as a Cinematographer and Camera Operator has taken him to Europe, the Caribbean and across Canada and he has developed a specialty for Arctic, adventure and aerial cinematography. Christopher has shot nine theatrical feature films, (including “Stolen Heart” which he shot and co-produced), award winning dramas, TV series, documentaries, commercials, short films and music videos. Christopher’s work has toured numerous festivals, aired on HBO, TMN, CBC, VISION TV and several foreign broadcasters and played in theatres worldwide.  He has also worked as a producer, assistant director and director.  His awards include a Gemini nomination, several William F White Cinematography awards (Atlantic Film Festival) and Best Cinematography at the New York Independent Film Festival.

Mike Gallant

Mike Gallant grew up in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, and moved to Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 17 to attend film school. In 2015, he took a crew of his friends and colleagues to Cancun, Mexico, where he shot his first feature “The Duchess of Cancun.” After making his mark as a professional editor and videographer and writing/directing many award-winning shorts, this film is his directorial debut. Mike has now become a full-time feature film editor in Canada, working on projects like “Clash”, “I’ll Take Your Dead” which stars Aidan Devin (Suicide Squad), “Don’t Click”, “Still The Water”, “The Oak Room” which stars RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), “Purple Don’t Cry”, and the HBO Max film, “Vicious Fun” which stars David Koechner (Anchorman).

Chris Corrigan

Music

CHRIS CORRIGAN is a guitarist, producer,  and composer based in Charlottetown, P.E.I. who has been involved in the music business since the early 1980s.

As a guitarist he toured and/or recorded with Lennie Gallant, Rita MacNeil, Mary Jane Lamond, Nathan Wiley, Natalie MacMaster, Thom Swift, Joey Kitson, and Laura Smith.

As well, he has performed with artists like Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones), Mae Moore, and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar).

He has provided guitar for many theatre shows, including nineteen seasons with the Charlottetown Festival, plus productions at The Neptune Theatre (Halifax, N.S.) and  The Citadel Theatre (Edmonton, AB).

As a recording producer he has worked with a variety of independent artists on various projects - singer/songwriter, instrumental, and spoken word.

He composes music for film and television.

He is the recipient of the ECMA 2006 Musician's Achievement Award.

The artists that he cites as his main influences and inspiration are Richard Thompson, Pete Towshend, NRBQ, and Bill Frissell.

Liisa Carbone

Costume Designer

Liisa holds a degree in production and design from York University in Toronto. Textile and fabric arts have always been a fascination, and she has developed a strong understanding of how clothes are a reflection of one’s individuality.

Professionally, she’s done work in advertising as well as marketing, arts management and administration.  As a volunteer Liisa has sat on the boards of an amateur theatre company and a semi-professional community orchestra and has designed sets and costumes for school and community projects in both Ontario and PEI.
